Carrie DaVega, PA-C

Carrie grew up in Newnan, Georgia and moved to South Carolina to attend College of Charleston where she earned a Bachelor of Science in biology and a minor in Spanish. After graduating from the Honors College at College of Charleston in 2011, she worked for a short period doing fisheries research. In her spare time, she volunteered with a free medical clinic and found her interactions with humans to be much more gratifying than those with fish, leading her to pursue a career in healthcare.

Carrie graduated with a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the Medical University of South Carolina in 2015. Before joining Carolina Dermatology in 2017, she worked in dermatology as well as family medicine.

Carrie treats a variety of dermatologic conditions including acne, rosacea, eczema, psoriasis, and warts. She also enjoys assisting Dr. Kotz with Mohs surgeries to treat skin cancers. Though her professional interests are diverse, she finds educating patients on how to manage their dermatologic conditions especially rewarding.

In her free time, Carrie still enjoys interacting with fish inshore with a rod and reel. She also enjoys painting, running, and being outdoors in the natural beauty of the Lowcountry.
