Amanda was born in Lugoff, South Carolina.
She moved to Rockville, Maryland at a young age, then returned to South Carolina to attend the College of Charleston. She graduated from the Honors College in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science
in Biology. After working as a medical assistant for several years, she went on to earn her Masters in Physician Assistant Studies
from the Medical University of South Carolina in August 2008. She has been working with Dr. Kotz since July 2008.
Amanda is interested
in all aspects of Dermatology. She diagnoses and treats common skin conditions, such as acne, rosacea, eczema, and skin cancers.
She also performs her own surgeries and assists Dr. Kotz with his Mohs procedures.
Amanda enjoys running, hiking,
and swimming in her free time. She also enjoys spending time with her husband, two daughters, and their Golden Retriever, Ollie.
Amanda is a member of the South Carolina Medical Association, the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, and the South Carolina Society of Dermatology
